Common questions

Is my calendar data private?

Yes. We've built the architecture to prove it.

When ACOD syncs an event, your event title, description, and location pass through our system only long enough to be written to your target calendar. We never store the readable content. Instead, we store a one-way cryptographic fingerprint (SHA-256 hash) of that content — enough to detect whether something changed since the last sync, but mathematically impossible to reverse back to the original text.

You also control how much detail gets synced. Each sync rule can be configured to pass full event details, or just mark time as "Busy", keeping the content of your meetings private from the target calendar entirely.

Your start and end times are stored as timestamps so ACOD can manage sync windows and detect scheduling changes.

Nothing is analyzed. Nothing is sold. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your dashboard.

Do I need IT approval to use ACOD?

It depends on how your organization has configured calendar access. ACOD connects directly via Google or Microsoft for accounts where that's available. For calendars where direct API access isn't offered (regardless of provider). ACOD syncs using standard calendar invites, the same mechanism every calendar platform already supports. No special software, no installation, nothing outside your organization's existing infrastructure.

What is an Independent calendar?

An Independent calendar is any calendar that isn't available for direct API connection, whether due to organizational access policies, account type, or platform configuration. This can happen with Microsoft, Google Workspace, or other providers. ACOD syncs these calendars using standard calendar invites, the same format used by every scheduling tool and calendar platform in the world.

What happens at the end of my trial?

Your card is charged based on the plan you selected when starting your trial: $10/mo for Pro Monthly or $96/yr for Pro Annual. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard before day 14.

How do I cancel my trial or subscription?

Go to your dashboard and click Manage or cancel trial (during your trial) or Manage Subscription (on a paid plan). Either button opens Stripe's secure billing portal where you can cancel at any time.

Canceling stops any future charges. Your calendars and sync rules are preserved. If you resubscribe later, everything will still be there and you won't need to set anything up again.

Can I change plans later?

Yes. Upgrade from Pro to Unlimited anytime, or switch between monthly and annual billing. Upgrades and billing changes are handled through Stripe's secure portal. Stripe will show exact pricing and any prorated amounts before you confirm.

What if I have more than 5 Independent calendars?

The Unlimited plan is built for you. It's designed for contractors simultaneously managing multiple client calendars that aren't available for direct connection.

How often does ACOD sync, and how long does it take?

ACOD runs automatically every 10 minutes. When you first set up a sync rule, the initial sync may take a minute or two depending on how many events are in your calendar window.

You can also trigger a sync manually at any time from the dashboard. For Independent calendars that receive events via calendar invite, the invite arrives in your inbox as soon as the sync runs. How quickly it appears on your calendar depends on how fast your email and calendar app processes incoming invites, which is usually within a few minutes.

Who built ACOD?

ACOD was built by an independent contractor who got tired of missing meetings because the invite landed in the wrong account. It started as a personal tool and grew into something worth sharing. Every feature comes from lived experience managing calendars across multiple client organizations.
